Mireo developed an accurate AI-based EV range prediction model which could be used on virtually any EV vehicle with the same or higher range estimation accuracy compared to the benchmark Tesla technology. 

The lack of charging infrastructure is the #1 contributor to EV drivers’ range anxiety, and accurate range prediction is the cornerstone of every EV trip. To mitigate EV range anxiety, machine learning algorithms help to enhance prediction accuracy and yield far more consistent results than traditional physics-based modeling.

None of the physical-based EV range predictions can consistently provide accurate results. An intelligent vehicle system that learns one's driving pattern and fuses real-time car sensors can predict EV battery consumption more accurately.

The in-car EV range estimation is every now and then off by a stunning 20-30% across the board, not nearly accurate enough to make drivers feel safe.

Starting July 2022, every new car sold in the EU must have a built-in anti-speeding system. All new vehicle models must be fitted with Intelligent Speed Assistance systems and inform drivers in case of speeding.

The built-in GPS is already a mandatory feature in new EU cars, and with ISA regulative approaching, it's reasonable to expect new cars to be equipped with embedded GPS navigation. Starting from 2022, the Intelligent Speed Assistance ISA will be mandatory for all new EU cars introduced on the market and from July 2024 for all new cars sold in the EU.

Range anxiety is still a widespread issue among EV owners and the ones looking to switch to EV. We leveraged machine learning to mitigate the problem and reassure drivers on exactly how much range they’ve got left, and learned quite a bit in the process.

The embedded navigation has never been more relevant, and there is a strong upward trend in embedding navigation in modern vehicles. The future is very bright for the embedded navigation and the various ways it will enhance driver experience, safety, and environmental aspects of transportation.
